AthEre@LiTY-->

Last night, i stayed up until 1:15am to read one of the most amazing books ever. Getting the Girl wasn't what i thought it would be. at first i was like, 'who gives a crap about beer cubes? where's the romance?' (im a romance sap for all of you who dont know :P). i thought that this was a romance book about a boy who tries to get the girl that is taken by one of the more important people to him, his brother Ruben.
but as time went on so did the girl. and as the girl came into the story, so did this whole complex character named Cameron who was struggling to fit in to the world around him. he's what you would call an underdog. he was a guy who you would look at and see nothing special about him at all compared to siblings.
but he couldnt realize that there was something so special about him. Cameron's view of the world was so beautiful and intricate. his poetry was so amazing that i found myself thinking that this was EXACTLY the kind of writer i want to be!!
he was a character that i felt like i could understand. it was amazing. i wanted to be like him. i felt that i was like him in everything he went through. i saw the thoughts that ran through his head, the things that he did, the way people looked at him and saw myself. i wondered, am i just lonely? it made things in the book so real to me that i cried. i cried so hard when i read this book many times. especially when he found out his brother called him a loser. that hurt me so much...
in the end of the story i realized that 'Getting the Girl' wasn't exactly the most important thing about the story. it wasnt really the complete plot. it was more the changes that he made in himself by the end. while Ruben was the popular fighter/playboy that always won the girl, Steve the respected and determined football player, and Sarah the hardworking young woman with a dream, Cameron became so much more than the silent shadow beside them. Cameron emerged to become something like the strong, silent type whose words were stronger than any punch or spiteful remark.
Getting the Girl was a phenomenal book. i really thought about what he said and smiled at his poems. it was gorgeous. i cried and ive never felt so much in a book. a book has never made me feel so much. not that im in love with the book or anything like that...actually i take it back. i loved this book.

Today was definitely an interesting day. I went out with Meow, Chee and Poni. We shopped and it was definitely a lot of fun. we even saw Joseph and it was such a surprise to see how some of the people we knew grew up to look! life does go on without you knowing it. but once it seemed like we were running out of things to do, we decided to take a nice walk to the library.

on the way there we witnessed something you would usually never see. Meow called it a once in a lifetime experience. and i guess in a wierd way it really was. it was kind of disgusting but very amazing at the same time. a snail giving birth to its eggs one by one. sounds pretty gross and i was so tempted to just step on them. heartless childhood interest. it's still very much attached to me. well i have to say it was amazing. you always wonder, how DOES this animal give birth? it's not something you see every day. something like that really is such a wonder. so we stood there just watching in awe. i guess something like that is beautiful in it's own way.

EdW@rd CuLLen Aw@rENESS DaY!-->

Today is Edward Cullen's birthday!! June 20 ladies and gents! :D *yells for all fellow Twilight fans to hear* HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDWARD CULLEN!
god he is so hot! XD well the way Stephenie Meyer describes him, he's hot. tall, lanky, but muscular with untidy bronze hair, marble smooth skin, gold eyes, fastest vampire in the world, absolutely romantic....YUM!
Twilight's a book, by the way. My most favorite book in the entire world at the moment, anyway. it's about a girl named Bella Swan who moves to a town named Forks. there she meets a family of vampires, the Cullens: Carlisle, Edward, Esme, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper. The main problem in the story, though is that she and Edward Cullen (a mind reader who curiously cant read her mind, btw) have fallen in love, which literally puts her life at risk. mainly because his nature as a blood-thirsty vampire puts her life in danger. sad huh? well even though he eventually learns to master his urges to kill her, another vampire ends up hunting her.
dont worry she lives. the cullens save her and now she's currently working to persuade edward to change her into a vampire. but its not working. the power of love overcomes all in the end, im hoping.
im a total romance lover so naturally this has become my favorite book in the entire world!! ^_^ i musta read it a hundred times already. i really cant wait til the movie and the next book come out! it's going to be great! *runs in happy circles* i check the website and chat with all other Twilight fans. dude, ive even chatted with the author in the chatroom. she's so cool! lol so there you have it. my Twilight obsession on Edward's birthday, June 20. just thought id mention it for the moment since everyone else is talking about it!
